La Feria

La Feria is the farmers Market here in San Isidro where we are living now.  The market has TONS of venders but only 2 or 3 Organic venders. Last week we got to the market @8:30 and missed out on most of the organic produce. We were determined this week to get there early and REALLY stalk up for the week. This is one weeks worth of food for our family. The only other thing we will buy will be eggs, fish and organic chickens, which we will also get at La Feria!
In the grocery stores here in San Isidro and a lot of Costa Rica you cannot find one organic thing, except coffee...MAYBE! So the Thursday morning Feria is your only choice for fresh organic food!  We arrived at 6:30 am (we all got out of bed at 5:00 to be there by 6:30)with the whole family in tow and all this cost us $120.00 or 60,000 colones. A great deal of us!
