A day in the life

So we have moved into a new house...this one suits us much better than the last one. There is so  much open land for the kids to run around on and way more living space in the house. We feel very blessed and thankful to be here!

Tano playing on the first stage of a bamboo fort he is building for the kids.

When you get Bananas out here you cut down the whole tree and take the stalk. Tano and Tobias found the perfect tree...see the bundle!?
Now time to machete it down.
:)
Mateo having his chance to use the Machete.
Titus's turn.

 Success...Those bundles are HEAVY!!

This just one of the walls of bamboo on our property.

One of everyone's favorite spot to hang out..

Drive up to the house.

Driveway down to the gate.

Tano has hung two rope swings on the property. The kids LOVE playing on these!

Me just sitting and enjoying my family play on this lovely land. And yes this is my typical look on most days out here..They call it "Tranquillo", just relax and take it easy...True Costa Rica style ;)
Such simple Joy!
He hunted around town until he found the perfect machete...I think it makes him feel Manly! ;)

Pura Vida!

To know and to be known..

This weekend was one of those odd weekends that we had three parties to attend.  There is something that is so wonderful when someone knows you well enough to invite you to their child's birthday party or celebration of their marriage! We feel very blessed to be part of a community!

The pretty little birthday girl on the right and her adorable sisters!

And then there's these two little ladies..Mary and Cassia. These are Havanah's sweet little church playmates.
The Bride and Groom, our friends Ryan and Korina! In their completely cool entrance! ;)

Feliz Navidad

My Children had the chance to take part in our church's Christmas presentation of "The Little Drummer Boy". They had to learn the song in all Spanish..Our Church is an all Tico Body with a few American students throughout the year. Which means all the teachings are in Spanish and 95% of the body is either Costa Rican or 100% Spanish speaking. A challenge for sure...no matter the language we are blessed to be part of this Christ centered body of believers!

These two...:)
Mr. Tobias is always up for a good time!
Every Child in this picture except mine is a Costa Rican and speaks only Spanish!
All the kids capes are made of paper, they are holding paper lanterns in their hands with a real candle burning inside...You know God is in control when 16 children come out holding paper lanterns with fire in them and they all walk away safe and sound!  :/
Much Love form Costa Rica...Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas time on the beachy!

Shabbot-Hanukkah Celebration

Now we have never been part of a Hanukkah Celebration before, but I tell ya we were so very thankful to be in the company of these beautiful people for a night full of Love for our creator and fellowship with believers in the Most high! There was feasting, a puppet show, game playing, dancing for fun, dancing for worship, music, a bon fire, great fellowship, prayer and a joy filled hearts! What more could you ask for...not much!
Our precious children being fully entertained by the story of Hanukkah.
Linda our hostess telling the story of the Maccabees.
Us lighting our three candles for the third day of Hanukkah.
All the Children gathered around the table.
A game with dreidel's! And the Jauregui's took the pot! :)

Pretty girl having a great time!
Me Trying my best to keep up with a beautifully choreographed dance..I'm failing!
